Seafish Processing is a contract fish processor located in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Established in 2017, Seafish Processing has grown rapidly, supplying to numerous big-named brands and supermarkets across the UK. Currently, they export fish to multiple countries in Europe, including Russia and Ukraine.
The fast-pace growing company has achieved great success over the years by gaining multiple accreditations including AA BRC, MSC and ASC. Through the accelerated expansion, Refrigerated Sales solutions helped them to keep up with the growing demand.
As a start-up business, the most reasonable option for Seafish Processing was our Try-to-Buy Scheme. Director, Matthew Taylor, spoke of how Refrigerated Sales helped them to “get off the ground” and how the solutions are “perfect” for him.
Currently, the company have three units on site; a 22-pallet Cold Store, a 60kw Blast Freezer, and a 20kw Blast Freezer. These units are used to store and freeze salmon by-products.
The units delivered to Seafish Processing have had the refrigerant switched from R404A (global warming potential, GWP, of 3922) to R448A (GWP of 1390) to comply with upcoming change in environmental legislation. This ensures that the units are compliant for future use.
Chris Allen, Fleet Sales Manager described the relationship between Refrigerated Sales and Seafish Processing as “built upon trust” and expects the relationship to grow for years to come.
With constant expansion expected, Refrigerated Sales offer Seafish Processing the options of scalability and flexibility. This is vital to Matthews future plans in case there is a need for a new site, as he can easily move and transport the units.
