Robinson’s Fresh Foods is one of the Isle of Man’s oldest family businesses, which began over 125 years ago from a small market stall and developed into the business it is today. Robinson’s has evolved into a leading organisation serving a wide variety of businesses to consumers and businesses throughout the Isle of Man and the UK.
Dealing with Demand
Robinson’s needed to find a solution to be able to store more products on the Island, rather than having to ship produce from Liverpool daily. Therefore, Refrigerated Sales worked together with the business to find a storage solution that would work for them.
Refrigerated Sales supplied them with two 37 pallet Coldstores to deal with their storage dilemma. Any issues arising from the delivery, by having to get the units from the Midlands to the Isle of Man, were soon sorted with excellent communication between the two companies.
Robinson’s signed a rent-to-buy deal, with options throughout the contract to purchase the two units. This allows the customer to effectively trial the units on rent with no obligation to buy at the end of the rental term. Should the units fulfil the company’s expectations and needs, the cost of the rental term is then deducted from the purchase price, providing a financially flexible solution.
Matty Mathieson-Nelson, Operations Director of Robinsons, spoke highly of the project, adding that “Chris Allen, Fleet Sales Manager, was an extremely delightful individual to work with. Refrigerated Sales’ professionalism was everything we expected; we were never going to look elsewhere”.
“Building up strong customer relationships is at the heart of Refrigerated Sales’ ethos, providing the best equipment and the service to match it”, Chris Allen commented, “Robinson’s were fantastic to work with and we look forward to building on the relationship we have started”.
